Specimen octopus bimaculatus ca. 2014, volume five of The Mutant Grammar of Refusal, is a print collaboration between Jacob McMurray and Robert Rutherford. Drawing on poems/song lyrics created for their former band Slow Clocks and art/design in conversation with the writings, The Mutant Grammar of Refusal presents a single poem in each of ten volumes with accompanying artwork and marginalia.

Cover printed in silver on French Speckletone. Interior printed on 100% cotton Flurry paper in one to 3 colors. Surrounded by a purple belly band with title information. 4.75" x 6.25". 8 pages.

Letterpress printed and hand-bound by the artists on the island of West Seattle.
